Our supported affiliates make it their mission to elevate the practice, profession, and delivery of oral healthcare within their local communities. Part of this mission includes supporting the next generation of Dentists and Hygienists through Scholarship funding and University Endowments.
University Dental Associates of North Carolina recently presented scholarship funds to Wake Forest Technical College to support their Dental Hygiene students.
Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, serving over 74,000 adults annually, with six campuses, three training centers, multiple community sites, and a comprehensive array of online learning options.
The Dental Hygiene program welcomed their first class of students in 2002. Today, they take on 24 new students per year – many of which rely on grants, scholarships and other means of financial aid to complete their educational requirements.
University Dental Associates was first established in 1997 as the clinical component to the Department of Dentistry at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. As a part of a large academic medical center, the group has been immersed in the rapidly evolving transformation of health care, positioning them for continued success through growth and innovation. Over the past 21 years, UDA has grown to more than 20 locations across North Carolina.
