Our Meet the Team Monday posts are designed to introduce and highlight team members who work with our employees and our affiliates every day. We interviewed 4 employees who represent a variety of different departments and roles. Each person had a unique story to tell, and we’ve learned some pretty interesting things about our teammates along the way (we’ve got sailboat racers, globe trekkers, and industry leaders all under the same roof)!

What’s your Favorite Part about coming to work?
In the People Development role we have the good fortune to interact with team members who allow us to help coach and guide them through a multitude of items. I am privileged to work alongside talented and experienced individuals who are here to support the learning and development of all people throughout the company. I’m blessed to be a part of such a great group!
What have you learned from working with our affiliates?
I am always learning from the people in our affiliates. We have dedicated and compassionate individuals who work each and every day to serve our patients.
Which of our core values resonates with you the most?
The core value that resonates most with me is the value of relationships, and our commitment to treat all people with respect and dignity.
Is there someone who served as a mentor to you?
I’ve been honored to have a few mentors in my career who guided me through the bumps of my learning journey. I now feel very privileged to also call them friends.
Is there a project that you are most proud of?
I would say that being a facilitator of our Leadership Institute has been a project that fills me with pride and I’ve been honored to be part of the program. I’m also proud to be a part of the initiative that is designed to increase the retention of our Patient Service professionals. I’ve learned more about their role and gained an incredible amount of respect for these professionals. They handle a variety of different challenges and duties each day – and they do it with a smile. I admire their commitment to their patients, and their team members.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give someone looking to start a career with American Dental Partners?
There are a vast amount of talented individuals who are open to share their knowledge, experience and skill with you. Just ask and be open.
On to the Fun Stuff…
What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I like to golf, and have recently transitioned from running to bicycling and have really enjoyed that. Also, anyone who knows me realizes that I love to read and to visit bookstores and libraries.
Do you speak any other languages?
My family is French Canadian so French was basically my first language. When I started grade school in Cambridge Mass, I spoke as much French as English and developed an interesting accent! I’m very proud of my family’s heritage and generally work that fact into most initial conversation with people!
If you could meet any famous person living or dead, who would you pick and why?
I would love to meet Abraham Lincoln. He was a great leader and way ahead of his time. I believe that many people still learn a great deal from his philosophies and leadership skills.
Do you have any exciting travel plans coming up?
My husband and I visited Italy several years ago and we are looking forward to returning with our whole family. There are many cities and states across the U.S. that are on our list to visit.
